I have had a large incisional hernia since stoma reversal. It’s huge after I eat & is pretty annoying. They can fix it but I’m on Avastin so it’s not currently possible. I think generally hernias only get repaired if they cause pain or problems or there’s a risk of strangulation. Or if you’re a private patient I don’t think the NHS would repair one for cosmetic reasons only.
i think my mom have now problem with hernia, as she has problem with breath… and she feels problem from hernia part it is near diaphragm, also there is some pain in this area…
she get CT scan last week wait for results but in CT sometimes doctors didnt metion hernias… sometimes yes… it is not so important when u have cancer for them…
I have a large incisional hernia following my 2nd debaulking surgery. I was referred to a general surgeon but said he would not operate if there was any chance I would need more chemo in the future, which of course there is, so sadly I have to live with it.
what happens when you eat too much? for my mother, it is high and probably presses on the diaphragm, so sometimes she can't breathe well or when she takes a deep breath, she pulls on her sides. she also has increased constipation
something what happened to my mom… we thought it is cancer, but it looks like it is hernia, i think it is better when u have CT scan did they mentioned hernia? In moms CTs only in some doctors worte but others didnt do at all this…
