3rd surgery

Hi everyone,

I am 3c low grade and happy to say after debulking and 1 round of chemo last year, I was Ned. I have had a small nodule underneath one of my laparoscopy scars so going back in on Monday for it to be taken away. I know this is a much smaller op than the other two and I shouldn’t be worrying but I feel more afraid this time round than before. I had my other operations last Jan and feb and it’s taken nearly a year to heal after debulking it was such a huge operation and recovery. Has anyone had to deal with post surgery trauma ? Xx

Hi. I think what you’re feeling is pretty normal. It’s only a year since you went through the big surgeries and the shock of the diagnosis. I found that I powered through the whole diagnosis and treatment and was really not myself for over a year. I had a recurrence one year from my initial diagnosis. It was only much later, looking back, that I could see how it affected me for a long time. You might want to get counseling from a therapist who works with cancer patients. Xx

I have 3B Endometroid low grade I had debulking April 2021 followed by 6 chemo’s currently NED after my surgery my incision got infected, put on antibiotics but with starting chemo it didn’t heal properly and I developed an incisional hernia March of this year I had it repaired laparoscopically out patient 7” of absorbable mesh I was a bit sore for the first week but other than that it was uneventful the plus side is the can remove any scar tissue or adhesions that that may see I didn’t have any I wish you luck and a speedy recovery.

thanks so much, it was all fine I don’t know what I was worried about. It looks like it was infection from my last surgery that they removed so that’s good. Thanks for your support and I really wish you both the best on your journeys xx
