A few weeks ago I posted that I was worried about symptoms and a partial bowl obstruction and you all reached out to me and were so helpful . I wanted to let you know how things were going . I went to A&E and after waiting for over 6 hours and still not seeing a doctor or having any tests I left as could not arrange any care cover for my son . Since then my symptoms are much the same - as long as I mostly stick to low fibre foods I am ok . They did contact my Gp however and the next day got an appointment (for tomorrow ) for the one stop gynaecological cancer diagnosis clinic at UCHL . The same clinic my Gp has been telling me for the last 5 months was no longer running since Covid ! I ve also had a CA125 test which was 23 which is very reassuring . I just wondered what I can expect tomorrow ? And wanted to thank you all for your support . Without your encouragement I would not have secured this appointment.

Good to hear from you Sarah. Don’t expect too much from your appointment, they will take a history and may feel your tummy. In my experience, getting scans and blood tests, let alone a biopsy should you need one, they are all separate appointments. But now you are in the system you can ask them…what do I do if my symptoms worsen? And do I have a CNS that I can contact if I need advice?
While you are going through testing you should have support.
Your ca125 sounds good..so the testing might take you off in another direction, but at least you should get some answers xx
Glad to hear you are now in the system, Sarah. We don’t have a one stop clinic locally where I live so don’t know what happens at UCLH. You might find that they will do or refer you for an abdominal ultrasound. Anyway, not long to wait now. Lyndy’s advice is sound. Keep an open mind for your appointment. Write any questions down as you will be sure to forget them once you get in there. Good luck for tomorrow x
