Hi everyone, I keep forgetting to ask my consultant if it's okay to drink alcohol whilst taking Rucaparib (sadly always seems to be more important things to discuss) but we've just decided spur of the moment to go away tomoro for a long weekend and thought it mite b nice to have a few drinks when eating out but not sure if u can whilst on this drug. I've read the leaflet that comes with it and found nothing, and can't see anything online either so was wondering if anyone else's consultant had mentioned it at all please?

Hi there. I am also on Rucaparib. My leaflet says avoid alcohol but I don’t. I still enjoy a glass of wine or two but I find it affects me very quickly and I actually don’t want more. whereas before I would have had a couple more!!!! I think that is the issue with mixing the two. No harm in doing what makes you happy just listen to your body. 🍷🥂

Iam on Rubraca and have not been told I can't but I choose not to. I have found a few reasonable alternatives, 0%gin prosecco and particularly like the also free Peroni. To be honest as well as not wanting to put the additional chemicals in alcohol into my system I am quite scared of any adverse reaction as I have had a few unexpected ones a long the way.Iam on 1200mg of Rubraca at the moment too so I may reconsider if my dose is reduced.Have a lovely weekend with or without a drink. Xx

Hi I’ve just come back from my holiday and am on oliparib I was told I could drink a small amount . I had a cocktail every night but one night I also as a glass of wine and felt drunk very quickly so take it steady. It must be the non measure measures abroad 😀. Have a lovely time.

When I was on Rubraca I was told by my oncologist I could have a glass of wine a day. That was in the full doseage 1200 mg. When I was on 600 mg (reduced doseage due to probs with bloods) I could have two a day. To be quite honest I love a glass of wine but on Rubraca I went completely off alcohol. Even though I'm not on it now I have the occasional alcoholic drink (currently on chemo) but have gone off alcohol. I would say the occasional daily glass of wine is ok. X

Hi all, i've been on Rucaparib since January and because of the side effects haven't had a drink. But starting to feel normal again and just wanted to let my hair down and have a couple last nite, which I did and felt quite naughty lol But had a lovely time but it won't be something i'll do regularly. Thanks all for ur replies 🥰
