I was in the same position last year May 2021 when I had hysterectomy and removal of omentum and was like you scared of the unknown and reading various posts on Google. I am a year on now and although I had some discomfort in lower abdomen area and some acid reflux I am now feeling well. and have returned back to work. I was diagnosed with low grade serious Tumour so monitored for 10 years. Try not to read too much on the internet recovery is different for everyone but take care lots of rest for a few months and wishing you well for your surgery and recovery Lynne x

Dear Galaxy 57,I had abdominal hysterectomy in August 2018 bilateral salpingo oopherectomy and omentectomy.
No problem ensued.
Diagnosed on 9/11 with endometrioid ovarian cancer stage 1A grade 1.
My 20cms Mass was discovered by accident on a kidney ultrasound.
No chemo offered because of early stage.
On Watch & Wait for a recurrence for 5 years with ct scans & ca125s now at 6-monthly intervals.
Scanxiety… a bit of a roller coaster.
I thank God I am well to date./ at least at last January’s ct scan.
I hope you go well,
Rachel Faye
