Seromucinous borderline tumor

Hi all. I’m 22 - pathology results came back with my bilateral tumor being seromucinous borderline. No invasive malignancy thank God. I have a couple of questions - upon research it says it has something to do with being endocervical? Does this mean my cervix has been impacted? Should I be tested for HPV? In the UK they don’t cover it until you are 24 for the Pap smear. I’m very worried now that I may also have cervical cancer.

Hello, sorry you are having to deal with this…I hope you are ok? The mantra is that a smear test doesn’t tell you if you have ovarian cancer. But I get that these are technical descriptions which you are trying to interpret and it is worrying when you don’t know exactly what they are saying. I would suggest you ring the lovely Ovacome helpline and talk through your concerns. They have lots of experience and can often interpret medical gobbledygook.
