Hi all. I’m 22 - pathology results came back with my bilateral tumor being seromucinous borderline. No invasive malignancy thank God. I have a couple of questions - upon research it says it has something to do with being endocervical? Does this mean my cervix has been impacted? Should I be tested for HPV? In the UK they don’t cover it until you are 24 for the Pap smear. I’m very worried now that I may also have cervical cancer.

Hello, sorry you are having to deal with this…I hope you are ok? The mantra is that a smear test doesn’t tell you if you have ovarian cancer. But I get that these are technical descriptions which you are trying to interpret and it is worrying when you don’t know exactly what they are saying. I would suggest you ring the lovely Ovacome helpline and talk through your concerns. They have lots of experience and can often interpret medical gobbledygook. They can also help support you to ask your own questions….your doctors owe you a proper and detailed explanation. 0800 008 7054. Good luck xx
