My mom had ovarian cancer 2017 than may 2021 it was back last chemo was 17.10.2021, ca 125 froM 220 went down to 22.5 after 3 month it went up to 110 and now after 5 month it is 248 :((( on monday there is ct scan but i us i feel nothing good, as i understand she is platinum resistant? Maybe there is someone who get platinum chemo after less than 6 month from last chemo? Very bad mood :(((

Sorry to hear your news. Poor Mum, she must be fed up. I think they may offer the weekly chemo if she’s platinum resistant but see what they say xx

Now her blood comes back as normal position, and need to start again i want better that she get platinum as i think it works good just came back fast

So sorry for you and your mum , ovarian cancer is tough to cope with , I can tell how worried and scared you are, could you speak to her cancer nurse specialist ,or someone from Macmillan ,or the nurses on this site . My first recurrence was just after six months so I had paclitaxol and Carboplatin ,I'm now fourth line and have just had my sixth cycle of Carboplatin and caeleyx, maybe this will be an option for your mum ,or weekly paclitaxol,I'm sure after her CT scan a plan will put in place .Wishing you both well .

No they not doing platinum chemo less than 6 month/ They just refused me platinum because I finished chemo last days In August / They said they can give it later but not so soon. XX

lol i did Carbo Platin 6 sessions. I was clear and stable for 6 month, and then they said its came back ! My CA 125 is still only 18, but CT showed some little shitty things )))

And u will get chemo again? My mom also have carbo taxol, now i dont know what will be

Yes i had Carbo /taxol, i keep forgetting what it was called ! )) yes i started Caeklyx chemo last Tuesday for 6 sessions again but this time every 4 weeks not every 3 weeks like taxol was last year...God help us !!! ))) xxx

Hi. They wouldn’t usually start chemo without a scan. The numbers can rise for a while before anything shows on a scan. Maybe it will be another month or two before she starts chemo. Xx
