I was on Zejula (Niraparib) from October 2017 to June 2021. It worked beautifully at first and kept the OC completely at bay for a long time, but my CA125 started climbing slowly at the end of 2020 and a scan confirmed slight tumour growth. My oncologist kept me on the drug until last summer as the numbers were going up slowly but as soon as she stopped it, they shot up until I started chemo in August. So even when it wasn’t keeping the cancer away completely it kept progression much slower than without the drug. I don’t regret taking it at all, and just wish it had kept working even longer.

Thank you that’s good to know!Blessing for you too🙏

I’m doing well on Zejula so far ( been on it since July 2020 ). Took a while to get a dose that was best for me ( lowest dose in the end - 100mg per day) but once it was found, I’ve been doing well on it.

Hope all goes well for you xx

Thank you 🙏🏼

Iv’e been on Niraparib since July of 2020, the same time as different for girls. I have been on the lowest dose also, but had to take a few breaks once in awhile to build my blood back up. I had one blood transfusion, because my hemoglobin was low, but that was over a year ago. Niraparib has been ok for sometime now and is probably keeping cancer at bay. Generally speaking, niraparib has been good to take. I am BRCA negative and my blood pressure has been good while taking this parp. Hope that you will do ok on it. Sending my best wishes, Donna

Following 2 rounds of chemo and surgery, I have been on Zejula for about 6 months. I have had no side effects apart from a blood platelet drop after the first doses of 300mg. Apparently this is fairly common. I had two platelet infusions and a few weeks off. I'm now on 100mg and see her on Wednesday with the plan being to increase the dose to 200mg. The only negative with this is the requirement for weekly blood tests. Good luck - for me it was a big positive! 🐨🐨🐨
