Hi I am sorry to hear your diagnosis but hats off to all of you for your courage. If it is not too sensitive to ask, can you please tell me what are the symptoms of ovarian cancer? I am freaking out. Since 2nd of Jan, I am having muscle cramps in my lower abdomen on both sides but right is worse. Having pain in right pelvis, come and go sharp pain in stomach and back and have found a golf ball size lump on my left calf but doctor thinks the muscle cramps are psycho somatic and for multiple pains in the body she has referred a blood test for arthritis! The pain is in muscles not in the bones!!! I looked online, these are symptoms of ovarian cancer. Also I have suffered with severe bloating for over 2 years!

Symptoms are similar to IBS for me alternating diarrhea and constipation abdominal pain and swelling looked nine months pregnant but tummy was hard not wobbly. you need a CA125 test to rule out OC. I don't know your age but it's most common in women over 60.

Hi there monikaguptauk

Thank you for your post. I’m really sorry to hear how worried you’re feeling right now and that you've been experiencing muscle cramps and pelvic pain.

The most common symptoms of ovarian cancer are:

• Persistent bloating of the abdomen.

• Difficulty eating and feeling full quickly.

• Persistent abdominal and pelvic pain.

• Changes in urination or bowel habit.

Ovarian cancer is uncommon and it’s more likely for these symptoms to be caused by more common, benign (non-cancerous) conditions. However, we do encourage anyone experiencing changes that are new and unusual for them to talk to their GP about their concerns. Get checked out by a doctor asap and also make sure you ask for a ca125 blood test, which can (not for everyone) indicate whether you have cancer or not. Explain your concerns. Be insistent. Don't let them palm you off. It's important they establish the precise cause of the pain. If there is a way of getting a CAT scan (go private if necessary), do that. Try to stay off the internet/google, it will just make you more worried. No-one here can diagnose you. And contact Ovacome who posted above.

Only way to know is to screen blood test CA125 MRI and or CT SCAN. Good luck
