Rucaparib.....what's it like to take

Hi all I'm new to the forum I'm hoping I can get support and offer support to others.

My query is I'm just about to start Rucaparib and was wondering how people who are also taking this get on with it. I'm aware that there can be side effects, how common are these. Any tips for managing these?

How long can you take it for and how long has it worked for people?

I'm a bit concerned as I didn't get on well with Avastin and have had a reaction to carbobplatin.

Any suggestion, help.tips would be very welcome

Hi. I am on Rucaparib, and am still taking the full recommended dose, 600mg twice a day. I have been in it for six months, and apart from feeling tired, and breathless due to changes in my red blood cells, have not experienced any other significant side effects.Having said that, my CA125 is rising, so I don't think it is working for me.

Hi, I'm been taking it since March and am getting on well with it. I was apprehensive at first but side effects have been quite minimal. It did affect my appetite at first but that seems to have corrected itself. Hope this helps. Xxxxxx
