Slight rise in ca125 after one round of carbo caelyx

Morning ladies

Spoke to oncologist yesterday and apparently there's been a slight rise in my ca125. I've had one carbo caelyx, 2nd round tomorrow. He said things were stable, bloods good, white cell count good. I'm still a bit worried tho. He also said the ascitic drain I had three days after chemo may have affected the ca125. Any words of wisdom?

I experienced a rise on carbo calex last year and later found out that it sometimes happens as part of a delayed response. Check after your 3rd treatment. I’m back on it as well now and just finished my 2nd and holding until closer to my 3rd before seeing my numbers. Hang in there… big hugs.

I would say he is right. A slight rise for a bit can be normal.

If there were big rises, then they might be worried. But for now, carry on and keep going and zap those cells all you can. It is most likely doing it's job.
