Hi ChockyI'm sorry I didn't see your previous question until now.

I take a similar drug and find the side effects very "do able".

I've been on olaparib for almost 2 years now and feel really well.

I do hope the thought of side effects hasn't put you off giving niraparib a try as not everyone will experience them. Adjusting the dose can really help those that do.

Whatever you decide to do, I wish you all the very best .

Good luck 4 months on and I am definitely better on niraparib.

Sorry did not see your original post. I have been on niraparib since March and find it gives me great hope. The only troublesome side-effect is insomnia but seem to be getting on top of this lately. Hope and pray you continue to keep well. Best wishes x

I have been on niraparib since July of 2020. I’ve had a few bumps along the way, but I seem to be doing ok lately. They lowered my dose to 100 mgs., which is more doable for me. Donna , will be 75 in November

I’ve been on Olaparib, which I think is much the same drug, for 2 and 1/2 years. My creatinine levels (kidneys) are a bit high but, other than that, I have no side effects. I had a tough enough time during my second round of chemo, with low platelets and some anaphylactic reactions to the Carbo. I’m probably a bit tired at times but that could also be laziness because I only work part time. You have to decide what’s best for you but I feel lucky to be on the parp inhibitor and to be tolerating it well.

I hope you keep well and are able to rest lots and eat well.

Anne 🤗

Sorry that I missed your first post about this.

I have been on Niraparib since 2018 and it is doing amazing job. I appreciate your choices however.

If you ever have questions, please let me know.

The initial dose of 300mg was very hard but I have now been on 100mg for 2 years and have a good enough life and can do sports again and travelling.

If you ever need support, do please PM me.

Nicky xx
