Debulking & Hernia Repair:
Has anyone had a debulking surgery followed by hernia repair all in the same surgery? Can you share your experience if anyone has any? Furthermore, had anyone had the hernia repair that requires a 3 mesh layered approach?

I did not but after debunking I along w 30% of hysterectomy patients developed an incisional hernia and a mesh was used which worked until I had a violent coughing fit after which my brilliant surgeon stitched it in place no problems since. It would be nice if surgical teams were more forthcoming about how fragile muscle tissue is after being sliced and diced other than telling you not to lift more than 5 lbs for 2 months and to wear a brace also for 2 months. Later my onc said 6 months after the fact
Was your hernia small at the time? My mom's is very large, she would need a triple mesh, not sure if it's a new procedure.
It was bulky he did not do a mesh but took tiny blanket stitches and it's still tightly placed no bulk hard to tell it was there
Ok, you were lucky. Out has no need to mesh. My mom's is large and would need a triple mesh type of procedure. Thanks for sharing anyway!
