Hi All: I was just wondering can you get a... - My Ovacome
Hi All
Yes, it is possible
Hi , I had surgery after chemotherapy ,they removed all visible cancer .I was clear for nine months but then it reacured in my peritoneum ,but lots of ladies on here have been in remission for years ,I was just unlucky .
My great friend and chemo buddy was diagnosed stage 4 in 2014, she had chemo, surgery and further chemo. She’s still NED and we meet up regularly to celebrate both our friendship and both being NED after 7 years. ❤️Xx Jane
That is very encouraging to hear! Are you on any form of maintenance drug?
Hi, neither of us are on any maintenance, we’ve been fortunate. We both have some long term health issues ie peripheral neuropathy, digestive/dietary changes and changes in our sun sensitivity but really very small prices to pay we believe. Take care and stay as well as you possibly can be ❤️Xx Jane
Good morning Sheenagh
Thank you for your post. I can see you have had some helpful and informative replies from other forum members sharing their experiences on this topic.
I wanted to share the Ovacome information booklet about surgery for ovarian cancer with you, which I hope you will find useful: ovacome.org.uk/surgery-for-... . This booklet explains how treatment and surgery for ovarian cancer does very much depend on individual circumstances and describes the that the aim of debulking surgery is to remove all the cancer present, or as much as possible.
