Ascities
Hello wnicola31
I'm sorry you've not had any replies to your post yet. Did your oncologist explain at your appointment what may be causing the ascites? If you have a CNS or keyworker you can contact them to ask if they can take you through the information again if it would be helpful. Alternatively you could contact the consultant's secretary and ask for a member of the team to call you back.
If you would like to talk anything through or help plan for conversations with your team, please do get in touch with us on 0800 008 7054 or support@ovacome.org.uk or through the forum.
Best wishes

Hi. Just to say I agree with Anna to have a word with your CNS/team about the ascites to talk you through what it might be or anything to watch for. Is the ascites causing any issues that you need treating - breathing, eating, pain, etc?
I do have some tiny new nodules in my pelvic area so maybe that is it, it's hard to tell at the moment so I'm getting a scan again in 8 weeks, ot defos means the cancer is active she said, but obviously its not showing a great deal yet x
Hi. Sounds like your team have a plan in place to monitor.
Yeah it's basically watch and wait, low grade slow growing is what I'm thinking, my stomach is not really big yet, she did say that the ascities growth will grow as tye cancer does x
I’m on watch and wait for low grade OC. No ascites currently though.
I've had asvities before but was about 6 litres with first diagnosis, I've had nodules for 3 years and had no ascities until now, I guess it's just on the move and I'll be starting treatment again soon. Oh well x
