Post treatment scan

My results show most of the existing cancer has gone or has calcified but there is a new fluid filled cyst on the side of my abdomen which my oncologist says she thinks is the result of extensive surgery and not a new cancer . Has anyone else experienced this and if so how is it treated . I am having a further scan in about 8 weeks so have to live with more uncertainty till then ☹️

I am sorry that you have this uncertainty when it sounds like your scan was really good in most respects! Doctors don’t always realise the impact on us of having to wait and see…maybe ask again what the plan is for this cyst? xx

Thanks Lindy I think they will make a decision after the next scan . Until them they want me to carry on with maintenance. X
