Hi Iv had 3 lots of chemo now so ct scan next .well I count myself lucky as my kidney function has improved and Iv not lost weight Iv had no problems with sickness or lack of sleep only thing is my salts are low .I am also on the chemo we’re you don’t loose your hair .but I still get scared it’s not working feel so selfish as othere people go through so much xx

I hope luck will continue to be on your side and the scan will show even better outcomes. Low salts and electrolytes are associated with low magnesium, very common with chemo. Some magnesium supplements will sort this. Check with your team first.

I agree...it’s not selfish to want to survive and get well. We all have our own journey and sometimes we have to fight for ourselves, so it’s good practice to put yourself first for a change! I hope your scan shows a good response and you can feel reassured. We all get scanxiety from time to time xx

I also agree, you are going through a rubbish experience and it is not wrong to feel it. My father, who was an elderly unwell man died the day after, Grenfell. After he died, I kept saying it's awful but not as bad as the Grenfell victims. My wise daughter said to me, just because the circumstances of the Grenfell victims deaths were worse doesn't mean it's not awful your dad has died and you have a right to be sad. She was right, I think I am very lucky compared to many with oc - the homeless, refugees, other countries, younger women but it's still sh***y and it is for you too and all of us. Xxx
