Hello

We posted last month about this piece of research being undertaken in Somerset, Wiltshire, Avon and Gloucestershire to understand more about the experience of ovarian cancer patients in these areas. Macmillan Cancer Research would like to reach patients who are in contact with their cancer care team at the present time for active treatment or follow ups. The results will be used at the British Gynaecological Cancer Society conference to help inform clinical practice.

They have designed a survey (under 20 questions) for patients to find out what devices they have available, how confident they are in using digital technology and if they would find it appropriate for healthcare appointments.

You do not need to give any identifying information when responding to the survey. If you so wish, you can opt in to receive an invitation to take part in additional research on the same topic by way of a conversation with you or a workshop.

You can complete the survey in three ways: online, by post or by telephone.

• Online by following this link: smartsurvey.co.uk/s/GYNAE-P...

•On paper by requesting a copy in the post from Kathleen Gillett, Macmillan’s Engagement Lead for the area. You can contact Kathleen by email at KaGillett@Macmillan.org.uk or by ringing/texting 07834 192203. Postal surveys will be supplied along with an SAE to return the survey to the Cancer Information Centre at RUH Bath.

•Over the telephone at a time to suit you by contacting Kathleen Gillett (as above) to make an appointment.

Best wishes

Julia
