We haven’t heard from you for a few weeks are you ok Laura?

Hello,

The truth is, I have not been very well.

My Oncologist has written me off with a referral to Dorothy House.

My disease is inside my liver now and is not operable.

I have reached out for second opinions, including the wonderful Prof C F.

But there is little hope for me, unless the Letrozole I am taking actually begins to work.

Oddly, the disease in my pelvis is stable. It’s just running rampant through my liver.

So at least I do not have Ascites.

The outreach nurses from Dorothy House have been wonderful.

I just did not expect this, which will be liver failure.

I still have loads of great friends visiting me and my brother and his wife have come from California to hang out with me for the duration.

All very weird and sudden, this situation.

Sorry to be a downer, but such is life and this dreadful disease.

I hope you and everyone else remains in good shape.

I’m so very sorry to hear this Laura but I suspected as much. I’m so glad you have so many supportive people around you. Let’s hope the Letrozole does kick in. You’ve been such a beacon of hope for many of us and we will continue to fight alongside you. Lots of love to you and your family. X

What a true blessing to be surrounded by friends and family. There is hope for as long as you are still breathing xxx I hope and I pray that Letrozole kicks off and does a good job, very soon.

So sorry the second opinions haven't delivered better news. Fingers crossed for Letrozole. It must be comforting to have your family with you.

Hi Laura. Thanks for the update although not the news we wanted to hear. Let’s hope the Letrezole has some effect or the referral to Prof C F proves positive. Thinking of you and sending love your way x

I was sad to read this,and sorry for you, but know that you will definitely be looked after by Dorothy House. Hopefully you will not suffer to much pain, and as you said you do not have ascites.

How lovely for you to have your relatives from California, maybe you can get a little enjoyment.

My fingers are crossed for the Letrozole to work for you, as you are such a determined lady.

You obviously have a wonderful family and super friends, which is a reflection on how great you are, yourself. It’s fab that your brother came home from the US to see you.
