Dear Andy,

Did no one tell you anything else?

A pleural effusion is a symptom and not a disease diagnosis.

2 months is an awful long time to wait.

You must be very uncomfortable.

Do you have a consultant?

Do you have a specialist nurse you can speak to?

You need to get someone in your case, in your side, right away.

You can call Anna here in Ovacome support to figure out your next steps.

Best wishes,

Laura

Hi Andy I had plural effusion after my open heart surgery painful and difficult to breath.

No real medical solution for me just exercise if possible walking and moving around as best I could.

It did ease and did pass. It took a couple of weeks to eventually ease completely

Good look hope you get some answers soon.
