Has anyone tried Liposomal Vitamin C ?

During a maintenance phase and after treatment, has anyone tried to take this or IV vitamin C? Lipsomal or Lypospheric vitamin C is paired or embedded in fat (liposomes) - I'm sure much more complex than this explanation. I have heard it is much more absorbable by the body rather than normal vitamin C pills and one of the girls at the health food store told me it's the next best thing to IV vitamin C. (who knows?)

If anyone has taken this Lypospheric Vit C or does any vitamin C IV treatments, I'm wondering how much would you take per day, for cancer recurrence prevention? Now, it's not something one takes without doctors advice and I do not know how effective it is. Just curious if anyone here knows more about it.

Thank you.

Hi Luci22. I take lypospheric vitamin C. It is the same thing. . The vitamin c is encased in liposomes to deliver it to where it needs to go. It is meant to boost your immune system. I do feel better when I am taking it, however it has not stopped me having recurrences. I have however not had any other illnesses, so I look at it as a success. Some others I know are having the infusions. The jury is out on whether it is beneficial for cancer. Therese x

Hi Therese,

Thanks for your reply. I'm always hoping something is out there that is helpful with recurrence, (aside from Parps which not everyone is given). I'm sorry you have had them even when taking the vitamin C. I know it's not a magic pill, and every person is unique too. If it helps keeps colds away that is good, less for the body & immune system to deal with.

I think the IV infusions must me much more concentrated then.

Any idea how many mg of vitamin C are in an IV versus the lypospheric C?

Thanks again.

Wishing you recovery and wellness.

Received wisdom is not to do C or B or A or omega 3 supplements while in chemo but to get from food sources.

Hi Ruebacelle,

Yes I too have heard that, and I think it's important to value and listen the the oncologists. In terms of supplements, my wondering is about after treatment while in limbo phase. There have been some studies about IV vitamin C but this lyposomal or lypospheric vitamin C is a bit newer on the market (or at least more have noticed it lately). I even noticed it flew off the shelves once Covid 19 erupted in cases and the quarentines began.

Have you had any experience taking it?

All the best.

No but then i am always in chemo. So far as i know the concern about supplements is tied to being in chemo. Will try to learn more. Good sunday as we say in france.
