Ladies I was wonder what side effects you had after cycle 4 of chemo. As cycle 1 was very bad constipation, cycle 2 hair loss, cycle 3 extremely emotional ( which I wasn't expecting) I was told cycle 3 is the worse! Just wonder what to expect. Thank you

Hi, I wont lie, chemo is cumulative so I found that I felt worse after each cycle. But having been through chemo 3 times I can tell you it is doable and within a few weeks of completing all 6 you will begin to feel stronger. Having said that we are all different and affected differently xx

I found cycle 1, the hardest, aches and pains and no. 2. hair loss and emotional. But since then, virtually nothing, although I feel down day 5-7 and then back to normal. I have had my last chemo no. 6 on Friday with Avastin added so will be interesting to see what effect the Avastin will have. Jan. x.

Avastin not too bad... watch out for voice change for few days, be very proactive if you feels sore throat coming on because it can get so bad you’ll cry (I’ve found cold air humidifier useful), also tend to get acne, which I haven’t had since teen years.

Hi there. I’m on my second round of chemo and for me hair loss began at cycle 3 and the 4th was the worst. On both occasions I had terrible mouth ulcers and became very breathless. I needed a blood transfusion to boost my haemoglobin and injection to boost white platelets. It’s bad for a week but wears off pretty quickly so all doable. Good luck.

I found it was the breathlessness and fatigue which carried on longer between cycles. They upped the steroids for the last two cycles and it worked a treat as I actually felt pretty good x

I had chemo 1st and 2nd week with 3rd off. Repeat. Till I completed 18 rounds. I was nervous first time not knowing what to expect. I did 35 yrs in law enforcement, so my perspective is different. Once I knew what to expect I felt better. I shaved my head day 18. I wore baseball caps after that. For me I worried more about my mother then myself. I didn't consider cancer as the end, it was just a roadblock that year and the next will be better, it's been my attitude my whole life. I never thought it would end my life. After cancer I went back to patrol for 5 and half years, retired June of 2019. I always felt good by the middle of 2nd week of chemo. 3rd was great. Then restarted. Best wishes, hope this helps. Liz

Cycle one, day 4 stomach cramps so bad that the bathroom floor had been my best friend. After round 1 I insisted on steroid step down which other than getting a super round face has made round 2-9 much more tolerable😊 I’d ask for that for round 4❤️
