My Christmas present

After 8 years of chemo for stage 4 Ovarian Cancer Primary Peritoneal Carcinoma, at 71, i am still here!

I've had every line of chemo and capsules, including lynparsa and Zejula, now on Etoposide!

I have maintained a Ca125 of 600 for 3 months, with a slight dip down from 620.

My best Christmas present is that my family will all be here today eating the turkey I cooked and that includes a son and his wife who had estranged me for 7 months, over a silly misunderstanding!

But most of all, ladies and gentleman, keep fighting!! It hurts at time and the anemia and exhaustion can be overwhelming.. But some of us still get up in the morning to see the sunrise!

Let's be thankful for the blessings we have and remember..somewhere in this world there are people and children who suffer a lot more!

Jesus will carry us leaving footprints in the sand

Hi Ingrid, I don't come on here much as I am a womb cancer person,although it is normally the same treatment. This is my 4 th year and I have grade 3 serous. I live your wig it looks great, keep on fighting. I consider myself extremely lucky. Have a fab Xmas with your family.xx

So glad you posted. Where are you from? I’m in Tennessee. I was diagnosed in April with PPC stage 2. Did chemo (6 carbo and taxol) and PET scan showed NED in October. Now just worried about reoccurrence- hoping and praying it is gone for good.

Hi Ingrid, I have just been diagnosed, stage 3-4 and found you post very up-lifting and has made me feel more positive. Am half way through my first course of chemo, so everything is new and frightening at the moment. Luckily, side effects have so far been few. I wish you well and happy for 2020.
