I’m so sorry to tell you all that Kryssy passed away on Saturday. Poignantly it was her 21st wedding anniversary as well.

I hadn’t heard from her for several weeks and the last time she told me she felt she only had a few weeks.

I know how hard this news will be for some of you and how inspirational she was for so many of us.

Rest In Peace lovely lady you will be sorely missed.

Terribly sad, I asked how she was doing a few weeks ago, I know she had been through a tough time in her life and that she took it hard when LA passed, as I did and many others did also.

Don’t really know what to say except she contributed so much to this site and wish anyone close to her the best, with happy memories,

News of Kryssy’s final defeat in this ongoing battle really hurts.

She often described her ”Crap life” and indeed, it often was: full of indignities and pain and misery, seeing so many other good women losing their lives in this war.

It’s simply tragic.

And it breaks my heart.

And then it fill me with fear for all of our futures.

But finally, it confirms my resolve to encourage others to pick up their swords.

We must keep up the fight.

For Kryssy! For LA! for so many others, but now it’s for each and everyone of us.

So very sad to read about Kryssy. My love and thoughts are with Tony and her family. She was a remarkable spirit who kept many of us in stitches particularly about her adventures in her local French hospital. She was not only very funny but warm, kind, wise and had a superb way of expressing herself. Like many of us, she took the loss of Lily-Anne early this year very hard. I guess it’s the only downside of what is otherwise a wonderful community here from which we gain so much knowledge and understanding.

We must pick up the baton for her! She wrote hilariously, even when she was describing horrific or painful events, and I laughed out loud whilst feeling for her, and realising she had hit the nail on the head about many embarrassing or frustrating side effects to this disease. Humour has to be the way forward, even with such sad news. I thought of her fortitude as I was forced to poo under a tree on a big roundabout on holiday recently. God bless you Kryssy, long may you chuckle looking down on us. Long may we remember you and your exploits. Xxxx
