I am 26 and had to start hormones after finishing chemo because, I am in menopause. They told me that my ovary function could come back. Has any one experienced this? I'm asking because two days ago I started bleeding a little and cramping, the cramping is the worse. I just honestly cant tell if it is break through bleeding or if my ovary function is coming back. It feels like a full blown period, just dont want to get my hope's up. I will call my doctor Monday but just curious.
Hormone patches: I am 26 and had to start... - My Ovacome
Hormone patches
Dear Kay!
I can’t imagine what you must have gone through having such a serious cancer at such a young age!
Was there a chance to freeze your eggs or your one good ovary?
If so, that would be a way forward.
I have no idea how hormone patched would affect you, but if you think you might want children in the future , now is the time to speak to your gynaecologist.
You are young enough to qualify for everything a young woman in your position deserves.
Please check it out.
My adult daughter was in her forties when she had to have her ovaries removed and it was too late for her.
Meanwhile, I hope you are totally recovered and you find happiness and fulfilment in your future.
Hugs,
Laura
I think Ovacome have info for young patients- it might be worth phoning the helpline. Fingers crossed!
