Well, I got my bloodwork results today and my CA125 is at 977. Pet scan scheduled for the 29th of November. I was supposed to start the parp on the 3rd of December but now, I dont know. Does anybody have experience with doing the naraparib in lieu of chemo? Or is the nataparib just as effective as chemo?

I wish I could give you a definite answer but I can tell you from all I read, that yes, some people are put on PARPs as treatment and others for maintenance (me). I think your oncologist should know, in your particular case whether treatment is possible for its use. There is a site on Facebook called "PARP INHIBITORS, Drugs and Trials" and many members have a variety of experiences. If you are on FB, join the group and ask there as well. Wishing you much luck and that scan results allow you to give it a try! oxoxxo Judy
Hi Rlene, I don’t have an answer to your question, but I just wanted to wish you all the best with your upcoming PET scan, and then optimal timing to start the Parp 😊

Thank you, Gina. Life is a roller coaster with cancer. You got fear, ups and downs, and a little curve every now and again. For 11 years I've been on this roller coaster and although I would like the ride to continue, maybe less boy and scary, but I dont want it to end yet. I'm not ready.
