Hi Callmemum, Glad she is doing well I"M ok I've not had any treatment for a few months now and being off treatment has it's good and bad side the bad side is I have found a lunp in my side and a bit a pain but feeling better being of treatment, I"ve got appointment with he palliative care DR to morrow, so will see where we go for now.Take care Lorraine xx

It's me. Yes, I'm in a terrible place so not the best company. I came off the medications which I'd had in hospital, one of which was prednisilone, and had three weeks of agonising headaches because of withdrawal symptoms. Couldn't sleep, kept vomiting etc etc lost weight. I'm now on morphine patches which have brought the pain from a 10 down to a 3 and I'm taking just one a day to wean off. Someone should have told me. Also, the shingles I've had for 7 months and is spreading across my back isn't shingles after all, despite three oncologists and the GP saying it was not cancer. It is cancer and is having a field day. I'm seeing my oncologist tomorrow for an emergency talk as something has gone very wrong. I am so upset that it's impossible to go out of the house, can't speak to anyone on the phone and just want to curl up and die. Sorry to have been so quiet but I can't face anything just now. I hope you understand. Perhaps I'll feel a bit more like my old self tomorrow, but I doubt it. I feel so let down.

Oh my god! How the f**k could they have missed that! You don’t have to be sorry at all I was just worried about you that’s all! I’m pleased the pain is down, I suppose that’s the only bonus. I completely understand where you’re coming from! I really hope you can get something sorted and get a treatment plan in place. If you need absolutely anything at all you know where I am, I have a passport so it’s not impossible to get to France either xxx

So sorry, Kryssy. Love and hugs. I also have the thing they once thought was shingles. It is to do with the lymph gathering and causing blisters and pushing through the skin. Very easily misdiagnosed. People ought to be aware of it.

Dear Kryssy

What the heck are these people playing at? Surely oncologists must know what's going on when the shingles did not clear up as expected and is now spreading. I feel cross for you that no one told you about the effects of coming off the drug and not preparing you for what might happen. Hoping that you will get some answers as to what they can do to get you back on track and out of pain. We all miss your humour and wise advice.
