Scanner broken down!

Suffering from scanxiety all week only to find I’ve missed a call from The Marsden to say the scanner has broken down so Monday’s appointment is cancelled. Well, as it’s Friday night I can’t sort it out until Monday so a weekend with even more to prey on my mind! Hey ho!

If it is going to be out of action for some time - Chelsea and Sutton both have scanners - could you ask to go to the other one. I know how waiting can be all consuming and do your head in!

This happened to me a couple of weeks ago, but the backlog was cleared quickly so there wasn’t much of a delay. Is it worth giving them a quick call this morning to see if anyone is covering CT reception - they might be able to give you an appointment?

Same for me! I travel from Hampshire. Not as far as Brighton, but still a bit of a trek.

I so sympathise with you, Julia. That's happened to me a couple of time. Do hope you quickly get another appointment. No good saying try not to think about it, I know.

How frustrating. I had this a few years ago with the MRI. My cousins husband is a scanner engineer and he covers RM I should give him a nudge if it’s not done quickly.
