Diarrehia!: Does anyone have diarrhea problems... - My Ovacome
Diarrehia!
Hi Jimcapy have you tried taking some loperamide to see if that helps? You can ask your GP for a prescription x
Having a bit of disturbance is pretty normal I think as your gut gets used to new circumstances but def check out with your team xx
Hi there I am a little confused as your profile says you are male. Perhaps the bowel section would be better for you
It is for my wife who has Stage 1C granulosa cell tumor! Sorry for the confusion!
Yes. I ended up taking immodium (loperamide) in order to be able to leave the house, doctors advised against it but I saw a gastro-enterlogist who said fine. For me it really helped as the whole thing was utterly exhausting. I also cut out raw food and lived basically off white foods. Its really hard, good luck - Nicola
.my doctor put me on a drug called Welchol, and it stopped the diarrhea in it's tracks. Very expensive here in the States, though, so now I'm on Colestipol...works just as well and less expensive. These drugs are sometimes used in combination with a statin to lower cholesterol and also to treat Type II diabetes. But, thankfully, they also work to bind bile acids, hence, stopping diarrhea.Talk to your doctor about these drugs. Ask your doctor to put you on one of these..just to experiment..I have a feeling they'll change your life. Good luck and keep me posted! (Oh...and I have neither of the conditions they were manufactured for - high cholesterol and type II diabetes.)
