Endometriosis || ca 125 - 41 || chocolate cysts || should i be worried about cancer?

Hi, i am really worried as my ca 125 result is 41 and my doctor told me that its a confirmation that i have endometriosis and chocolate cysts. But she did not look very convincing to me. is there anything else i can do? i am having hair and weight loss too. :( please help!

Hi there! It is true that inflammation and other factors can cause your CA125 to go up and your 41 is only just above normal range but if you are worried (and you clearly are!) then go back to the Doc and ask to be referred. Explain that Oc is often diagnosed late because vague symptoms are not investigated...with a slightly raised 125 they should take it seriously. I don’t want you to worry more but it is far better to be persistent now and find out that nothing is wrong than to wait and get worse news later on. Good luck xx

I would get it checked out. Sometimes ca125 is not always a guide of what is happening. Ask for a referral. You have nothing to loose and it will give you peace of mind as you are clearly worried xx
