Some of you will know that MacMillan's fund-raising effort this year includes a Murder Mystery Party. The idea was you got the pack and invited seven friends to play the game, with opportunities to donate at every stage.
We decided to go one better. I live in a retirement village for paupers, so we sold tables in the Village Hall to groups of eight, and had them all going at once. It obviously struck a nerve with some people as we had nine tables! The noise was amazing. My husband did a fantastic job as host, and we raised £1050, which was double what we expected.
Even better, everyone enjoyed themselves and it got people together in a new way. These are the winners of the character costume competition!
