Thought this one would be easier, it really kicks in around Day 7 for me, sore throat, pain, extreme body fatigue. Did wonder why it's only given every 4 weeks, is this the reason do you think? It's a slow burner!!

Fingers crossed it's doing its job xxx

Thank you, wow 8 cycles, that is good going! Would you say it's accumulative?

This is good to hear Chris! So hopeful xxx

Hi Jessuca, Caelyx can be a hard treatment but also can give good results. I had single Caelyx as 3rd treatment, every 4 weeks for 6 treatments the reason it's every 4 weeks is it's encapsulated and breaks down over the 4 weeks in the body.

I had a hard time with side effects but manged the full treatment with good results.

Now just finished 8 rounds of caebo/caelyx together this is my 5th line in 3 years and again good results with this combo, funny thing I've had little side effect this time, as you know we all react differently to chemo, I hope Caelyx give you good results.

Go to ( Search my Ovacome ) type in Caelyx and then enter, you will find past post with some handy tips on how handle side effects from our ladies..Take care Lorraine xx

Thank you Lorraine, makes sense it breaking down over the 4 weeks, my symptoms are very much 7-21 days xx

This sounds familiar but luckily I didn’t get really bad mouth ulcers but it does knock the blood cells for six and I was very breathless by round 4 but 5 and 6 weren’t so bad! My feet took a hammering but everything is getting better now it’s 2 months after finishing! So hang on in there and keeping my fingers crossed for you and hoping the side effects get easier!

Have a happy new year 🎉🎊

Hi Jessica,

I’ve definitely been more fatigued after second round, I had lots of tears Christmas Eve as I didn’t have the energy for the next day even though someone else was cooking. Anyway I had a lovely day and was looked after well.

I was hoping for an easier ride this time but if it’s doing it’s job then I’ll grin and bear it

Hope you had a good Christmas and I wish you a happy and healthy new year

Gill xx
