Reflux

Hi everyone, I'm having a break from chemo, this is my second week off it. I do have a lung drain fitted, this is drained three times a week. I've started to get reflux after eating, lastnight was so bad it's scarred me from eating. Has anyone any ideas . I'm taking omprazole a pill for digestion. Thanks Claire x

It doesn't look like anyone has any advice to give. Might be worth contacting either CNS or the chemo nurse helpline to discuss?

Don't know anything about this but think that omeprazole may cause problems if taken longterm?

Thanks ladies . I had a word with my key worker from Farliegh hospice . She said increase the 20mg dose of omeprazole to another 20mg taken later in the day. it was ok yesterday. It's just something else to worry about and be uncomfortable with.

Don't know if this will help or not but could be worth a try. I was told to take 3tbsp of Aloe Vera Juice on an empty stomach first thing & last thing at night (although I often forgot that one!)

Mine was for bad heartburn so it may or may not work for reflux? Depends how bad it is & what you want to try, but Aloe Vera has reported health benefits anyway?

Ocado sell a Pukka one that I bought on special offer around £15 I think. It comes in a white (& orange?) bottle & you keep in fridge.
