Some response to the 6 chemos but slight thickening of the ometuem(?). They are going to operate in the next couple of weeks apparently then look at a couple more chemos after that. Is this pretty normal? She has PPC rather than overian we think.

Think that is normal procedure. My mums scan showed slight thickening of omentum too, wasn't really sure what that meant. My mum has ppc too.

I'm exactly the same, I feel positive at the moment too but I'm worried what else may be in store. This has been so awful and my mum was so ill. X

I take comfort in all the positive stories I hear on this forum, but in other ways I'm very anxious. Xx

I had four chemos, then the operation, and then a further two chemo. Hope the operation goes well.

Yes that's a really common approach- the idea is that you use the chemo to shrink the cancer and give you a better chance of getting it all out. Then after surgery you give mopping up chemo to get the microscopic bits that are left.

Having spread to the omentum ( a fatty layer which covers the intestines) is also something that is quite usual for this type of cancer- so they generally whip it out with everything else xx
