Hi peeps, I have just re_read my letter from my oncologist. It says my ct scan from the 9th of August shows stability over then in the retroperitineal lymph nodes which have enlarged does this mean it has spread from the peritoneal lining. I am seeing my oncologist next Fri after my next chemo on Tuesday.

Lymph nodes
Hi Juliette
When I was told this year my peri aortic lymph nodes were swollen I just assumed it had spread somehow from my original Cancer which is PPC. It never occurred to me to even ask !
I had been NED for nearly 5 years and a scan in Feb showed the nodes swollen . A further scan in Jul showed they had swollen further and so I started chemo 3 weeks ago. I will be really interested in what your oncologist says so please let me know .

Yes unfortunatley it does and sadly this is quite common. I have some new sites in the lymph nodes in the middle of my abdomen. I know you might not want to hear this but you are going to get new sites from time to time. Try not to focus on that but just carry on with the day to day living and concentrate on things that make you happy.
My oncologist says that lymph nodes may be enlarged due to other infections, so monitoring is essential. It's not always doom and gloom. Had an enlarged lone under my arm which showed up on the scan, six weeks later on the next scan it had shrunk!!
Best wishes Jackie O xx
