Stomach pain

Hello Everyone I hope you all had a good Easter . I'm still waiting on CTS results . Friday I will see the doctor but I have been in so much pain my stomach is killing me . Any one can tell me if this is normal after u done with the chemo and also I feel more tired than before and I'm thinking the worst .. Thank you ladies xo

Hi sorry to hear you're suffering too.I'm on my second chemo.I can honestly say I have never felt as Ill, tired then can't sleep,griping stomach pains, feeling sick.I dread every waking minute. I have 3 weeks between each chemo session,18 days of absolute hell, 3 days didn't feel too bad, then chemo again last Thursday,back square one.for the stomach pain I still take anti sickness,but this time I make sure I'm eating something dry as soon as the griping starts...believe it or not Ive found salt n vinegar crisps help a tad! I hope you manage to get round this problem.Ive had breast cancer by the way.regards Rose.

Can I  suggest that you speak with your CNS (cancer nurse specialist ) or go to Gp before your scan, you shouldn't put up with pain. It may be that you just need something to help protect the tummy the drugs we have are very powerful. It's always a worry before scans and we fear the worse .

Hi, Hope you feel better, I have  had stomach pains from bowel obstructions that was bad and did not go away with nausea when I first started chemo I would get bad stomach pain, from neulasta chemo effects us all so differently Take care Rose,

After my second or third session of Carbo taxol I had pain and rang the Unit,. I was told see my gp which I did.  I came away with nothing but an explanation.   Surgery and chemo are foreign to our tummies so we are bound to have discomfort.  If you had a huge cyst removed, remember your bowel was moved and now it is settling back in along with the chemo.  I was told my pain was due to the fact that my bowel was expanding because the cyst had flattened it.  Meanwhile before going to the gp, I had a bag packed for hospital because I thought I was finished.  That was in 2006 ten years ago.  I am still here had recurrences but off treatment at the moment, hope reading this will give you a boost.

So sorry you're feeling so badly.  As far as the stomach pains, I think you need to let your doctor or nurse know as there may be something they can give you for relief.  I did feel much worse after the end of my chemo......skin problems, tired, swollen legs and ankles/feet.  All that cleared up in a few weeks.  You will feel better and better.  It's not easy, but try to keep a good attitude and stay strong.  Prayers to you........Judy

When had stomach pains it was suggested by go to take buscopan which helped hope you get better soon
