Hot cross buns first!

Wonderful sunny day here on Good Friday so I spent most of the day weeding in my allotment (much time spent leaning on the hoe listening to the birds). The long and short of it is that the hot cross buns were very late, so late I never made the crosses, as was also busy with fish wrapped in wild garlic picked that morning while walking the dog. It grows abundantly round here at this time of year. The buns were much appreciated but now I have to make another batch with crosses today. 

One more day to go before that chocolate egg !
