Hi Miffo, I would suggest that the best way to find out is to go to your gp with a urine sample and he can check out if you have infection. You should discuss your symptoms with him or her and if necessary, you would be referred on. Hope you will soon feel well again

i have had a urine sample and it was negative... i do have a prolapse also but i dont think it would cause all this pain i am in ...

I am sorry you are in pain, I have never had a prolapse but a neighbour did and it is quite painful and would cause problems going to the loo. I think best thing is speak to your doctor, arrange to get the prolapse sorted as soon as possible, which wont be easy coming up to Xmas but all you can do is try. Hopefully that will sort the pain for you.

Get checked please. I was recently diagnosed with ovarian cancer and my symptoms started out as pain on the lower left side of my abdomen and pelvic region that's where the tumor was I Peed a lot And had lower back pain. Go to your gynecologist as soon as you can and get it checked out please lots of prayers that it is not cancer but it is best to go get it checked instead of waiting

Yes I agree, go and get it checked out ask for a referral to a gynaecologist. You should get a ca125 test and an internal and abdominal ultrasound scan. I had quite vague left sided pelvic pain and then thougt I was leaking urine so Drs thought it was a bladder problem but eventually turned out to be OC. They were very surprised as I didn't have bloating or loss of appetite. More often than not it would be something else but you need to get them to rule out cancer as soon as possible rather than waiting.

Good luck

Hi. Yes, I had exactly thes symptoms. I was initially diagnosed as having a urine infection. I took this as gospel. 8 weeks later I developed severe pain in the left pelvic area and they initially though I had diverticulitis, until the CAT scan show the tumour on my ovary. Shock, disbelief followed.

So please go immediately to your GP and insist on tests.

I really don't want to scare you and I do hope that you are OK and there are plenty of other reasons for your symptoms. Best wishes for a negative result.
