I just read this, have added link. I take beta blockers and have since my early twenties, originally for migraine, then for blood pressure. It does support the cancer and stress link too.

It is interesting, but the major 4 year survival advantage applies only to women who take non specific beta blockers, such as propranolol. Specific beta blockers such as atenolol have a much less significant advantage, according to the study. Propranolol was once widely used as an anxiolytic, but other drugs are more common now.
