Ct scan

My mum as had two chemotherapy treatments an she has had a letter today to go for a thorax focused ct scan anyone have any ideas why they would be doing it , nothing was mentioned about it at our last visit x

Hi there try not to worry, maybe this should have been done before chemo started and they need a base line to start from. So I suppose its better late than never, possibly an oversight. Wishing you and your Mum all the best,

Thankyou for replying, she Is having her next chemo on the 17th of July an the ct is on the 19th just hoping she well to attend , many thanks take care x

I agree I think this should have been done before chemo started so they then have something to compare it to when they do the next one further on in the treatment. Although my oc was confined to abdomen I always had chest and abdomin ct scan. Try not to worry (easier to say than do) ,why not phone up your mums cancer nurse and ask her. Mine was always very helpful. xx
