Random pains

Can anyone help is it possible to get random pains 18 month after finishing chemo. I had pains in both feet and nothing could be found and pains went as quick as they come now it's my right thumb

Not surprised by this. Last year I ended chemo in September and had body pain during and after chemo. This time around ended chemo 7 May. No pain during chemo but I have pain now especially in my ankle and legs. I know it is early days but no doubt it will go and move elsewhere.

I have dreadful pain after chemo in my shoulder of all things. It came on me about 2 months after I stopped chemo. I also had alot of foot pain 6 months after I finished my first round of treatment. I just thought I was strange till my sister told me a friend of hers , who was finished chemo for breast cancer had joint pain and strange unexplained pain also. I guess it is just another joy of chemo no one tells you about.

I get random pains all the time,finished chemo a year ago,mostly the pains are in my arms,I also get pins and needles in my hands and feet,plus the odd night sweat,Ct scan showed nothing,so gp said sometimes the body can take a every long time to detox the chemicals out of the body,so I make sure I keep well hydrated and a lot of light exercise to stop joints getting stiff and to keep circulation moving,most of the time it works,hope this helps best wishes yvonne x

This a reply to Yvonne (Honiton). Tingling of the hands and feet I think would be peripheral neuropathy. This can be a side effect of some cancer drugs including Paclitaxol, Carboplatin and Cisplatin. I had some tingling in my feet but it didn't begin until I was in remission. It didn't last long. And I suffered from something called plantar fisciaitus which is a pain in my foot about three months after I finished my second lot of chemo. The pain was quite bad at first but a lot better now but has been 18 months. I'm convinced it is connected to chemo. Also get knee pain. I have spoken to quite a few people with similar joint and muscle pains after having chemo.
