The drain still not in iv been to the hospital . Monday clinic phoned tues of course you all know the bed manager gave away my bed ,in Wednesday no slot for a guided drain . Come back nine tomorrow , back in Thursday no drain available untill next Friday amazing ye . Back in next Friday apologies all round right enough lol

Sorry you are having so much trouble getter no this drain. I had this same problem last year had to really fight to get it done. Do they not realise how painful all this ascites is. Push all you can get your GP, ONCOLOGIST, NURSE. Anyone to push for it. What about good no in through A and E. Good luck. Sue

This sounds very similar to my mother, she was told that chemo could not start until she had kidney stents put in. The amount of time they tried to make her wait was crazy! I literally rang every person I could in the hospital and demanded she was added to an emergency list, they do just let you wait around unless you heavily get on the case to become priority. I would really recommend trying to keep calling different departments that might be able to help you, I got a really helpful Gynea cancer nurse onside who ended up doing all the chasing for me as I explained how urgent things were.

Maybe try getting a family member to keep calling on your behalf so they can really stress things on your behalf.

We managed to get my mum in almost 2 weeks early the first time and then again a few days early the second time. I did come across unhelpful people but I just didnt stop until I knew she was booked in and added on as emergency.
