My mum is just approaching her third chemo treatment this friday after initially being diagnosed with OC Clear cell 1c. On her first treatment she did really well apart from Day 10, woke up in a horrific red itchy rash this happened on christmas day. On boxing day we were told to bring her in to hospital for it to be looked at and some tests. The rash was everywhere and even entering mouth.

After a few days the rash went down with the help of some antihistamines.

The second treatment she has been coping well (more grogginess days 1-5) on Day 10 again, she awoke with pins and needles in her arm but that went after 15 minutes. Has anyone experienced similar, more so the rash?

We have an appointment today with our oncologist to see how things are going. Mum also noticed in her log book they cut down her Carbo by 50mls without consent. She's worried this may have an effect. I am very very anxious about her results and scans as Clear Cell is known to recur. I dread hospital appointments as its the finding out I hate. We've had bad luck up to now with the initial diagnosis, and not a very nice surgeon. The cyst also ruptured before surgery and during. Has this happened to anyone where its ruptured prior to surgery? Sorry so many questions....

My clear cell tumour was 26cm when it ruptured during surgery, I had six cycles of Carbo/taxol last year and still no evidence of disease at my 6 month checkup

My Carbo was reduced on my third round due to pins and needles. I had a rash in my face in the 2nd day after chemo but was told it was due to the steriods, as soon as I stopped them day 4 the rash went. I had the same symptoms each round.

Im really glad so far that there is no evidence 6 months on. I will keep my fingers crossed for you. We ae just got back from an appointment today and were given a letter written by the oncoligist to our gp stating because mum had acseties and apparently disease on her ommentum she should have been staged as a 2a. Im really annoyed they kept this information from us. She is also having to undergo a kidney test as well, possibly for fluid retention?

I feel so anxious all the time and scared for my mum.
