Dear Meg,

From what I can gather that you have just finished first line treament, (correct me if I am wrong) therefore you are a candidate for Avastin, I don't think your oncologist meant that you will never have more chemo but that Avastin is a way forward for you at this time ...also didn't you ask a few months ago whether you could have Avastin ? And the answer was no then ...because I think that your oncologist is taking things one step at a time (in other words they don't jump ahead of themselves) which it seems to me you might be doing.

I know it is a worrying time for you but it might be best when you see your oncologist to write your questions down so you will get a clearer idea on why they choose your particular treatment.

You could give the ovacome helpline a ring as they would ask the relevent questions to give you the advice you need... they are only open office hours

thanks Gwyn,Yes i did about Avastin, when i asked they said because i had Peritoneal cancer i was,nt suitable . Now i am. I spoke to Ruth last week about another matter, i will phone her Tuesday. I get in a bit of a state, and i dont always take it all in.Seeing different doctors each time doesnt help.In two weeks i have seen three different Doctors.Meg xx

Dear Meg,

Yes I can understand this .....this is why it is best to write down some questions you have milling around in your head, however silly they might seem to you, they are worth asking about... I found I had a list of questions... and the oncologist might answer the next question with the first question (so there was no need to ask that question) anyway you could do this with your phone conversation to Ruth because I know after you've put the phone down there will be questions you forgot to ask I do this a lot LoL.... best wishes love x G x
