I had my head shaved to prepare for total hair loss. My head is now pimply and very itchy! Any advice? I'm Carbo + Taxol

I washed my head with Johnsons baby shampoo while I was bald it was soft and gentle and I always made sure to dry my head properly. I didn't really have this problem. Maybe check the shampoo you are using now and change to a more gentle one. If its very bad perhaps call your GP. Best of luck with the Carbo/Taxol xx Trish

You could get your GP to prescribe some dermol it's a anti bacterial moisturiser but it can also be used instead of soap

Hiya you may find that it settles in a few days x I too would switch to baby shampoo to see if it helps . Best wishes for your treatment and hope it goes well

Hiya, I too would recommend the baby shampoo. Did you shave completely? I went for a number 2 which was a little like Velcro on the pillow! It does settle down and you do get used to it.

Good luck with your treatment

Hi there, when that happened to me it was quite embarrassing as I couldn't help but pick it hahaha. I used t-tree oil to get rid of the spots. And plain old soap and water to wash x

Hi there - quite normal to get a sore, itchy head as hair falls with chemo. Mine felt like I had pins sticking in my head, good advice I was given was to use a lush shampoo bar - specifically the sea kelp one. It's bright bluesy green in a circle shape - some stores don't keep it but you can get them on line via lush. Best wishes Amanda x
