Well done you, carry on living there are lots of treatments available and who knows what's around the corner. Gillx

That is great news and you're quite right to celebrate it by putting it in writing. I was thinking yesterday how well I feel. First week for a long time I haven't had a single afternoon nap and have been busy. Finished treatment for first recurrence end December, so can't really believe it. Every good day is worth a celebration. May you have many more xxxx

It's good to read so many testimonies to women living well with cancer and for many years. None of us wanted to be here but many of us manage to lead happy fulfilling lives. I'm so really pleased it's working for you Kingsfield.

I was diagnosed Aug 12 with 3C OC, had operation and chemo, your words have inspired me so thank you. I too am enjoying my life to the full, with the fear of recurrence.

Wonderful attitude! I know just how awful this diagnosis can be, I was diagnosed high grade stage 3c PPC back in November 2012 and was told that the outlook is not good! None of us asked for any of this, but we are still here and are 'LIVING' proof that with a strong will, and positive mental attitude, we can actually still live our lives to the full, but with a much deeper appreciation for all we have around us! This is what keeps us strong, keep up the good work great to hear life is good! Bx

What trial are you on?

So far Ive done Avastin trial for a year, was in remission for 4 and half years, then cedranib, nearly 2 years remission, now im taking a parp inhibitor for next two years, theres only 15 women in the country on it and i think 264 worldwide. I'll take whatever they can give me lol.

Take everything they offer you - I like your style. I had Carbo/Taxol first time round - worked well they said, 8 moths later I was back but had anaphylactic shock with chemo on number 2 so continued with taxol alone for next 4. I then had a year clear, started chemo again in Jan last year, Taxol on its own because they thought it had worked well on its own before, but mid term scan showed it had only halted things so continued with Cisplatin/Taxol - as you say the side effects were horrendous. Currently waiting for result of scan because I have been having pains but they may be down to a gall stone I have, the scan will tell all, fingers crossed. xx

Fingers crossed for yr results x. Cisplatin is harsh enough on its own but adding Taxol must have been so hard for you. They said I didnt need it yet and they are holding it in reserve. Please let me know how you get on, I wish you all the very best. Big hug x

I am betting on Gall Stone, at least that should be an easy fix!!!!

Good News...cheers xx

Gosh I am glad to see others who have lived with this longer than me, I was beginning to think I was the longest, first diagnosed in May 2010 with OC which was then diagnosed after surgery as PPC, I have had two recurrences. Still working, enjoying life. xx

That is so good to hear. I was also diagnosed with stage 3c just over two and a half years ago. Got married a few weeks later in September 2011 wondering if I'd be around to celebrate our first anniversary. At first I thought people were just trying to humour me when they said that after treatment I could get on with my life. Glad I got that wrong.

Best wishes for the future.

Love Mary xx

To all those ladies out there, my mum went 16 years before succumbing to bowel cancer at the age of 72 and she never had any recurrences but was 3c when diagnosed. xx

I'm a 57 years old & was diagnosed with OC on 1-20-14 stage 2. I had a complete hysterectomy . Currently I'm recovering from the surgery. My journey is about is about to begin . It great to know that other women with OC can continue to live a full life. The difference is we appreciate every day and live it to the fullest. Wishing u many great days !!!!

Well done love the positiveness thats how I cope live life try not to think about it, and sort out treatment when needed. Then get on with living sure it helps overall but understand those who can not feel this way.

Hi, i was diagnosed 3c over two and half years ago. Have had 1st line of carbo/taxol. In september i had bowel obstruction and operation to follow where dr managed to remove some of the tumours in abdomen wall. This helped to stable this disease. Im very pleased i have managed to go without 2nd line for this long all the best to all of u xxx
