Just to keep you all posted, I applied to be a patient member of the Clinical Reference Group for Complex Gynaecology Services, this is the closest I could get to OC, no specific group for OC at the moment.

if you follow this link there is further information on these groups.

As the role unfolds, I will keep those of you interested updated but at least there is a OC voice in the group.

Dear Wendy

This is a brilliant forum with which to become involved. Thanks so much for your work. I'd be really interested in your updates. This sort of thing doesn't exist in Wales. Perhaps it will come. I hope so. Meanwhile thanks for representing us on the group.

Hi Holly, I am just about half way through my first year of a two year post as a patient lay member of the E10 Clinical Reference Group (CRG) for women's complex Gyanecology. It has genuinely taken me a long time to get to grips with the role and the specification for the treatment of gynaecological cancers. I have provided feedback on the specification which I think has or is in the process of being approved. I am not quite sure what the next stage is at the moment. I do feel that some of the things I wanted to see included the specification have become Aspirational but will have to wait and see what happens. Thank you for the link, that is very interesting and something I will bring up within my CRG subgroup.

Hi there, I think if anyone is interested there may be some opportunities for applying to be a patient lay member on this CRG. When the specification becomes approved it will go in the NHS England web site xx
