Yes, My suspicion is that this is a web error by the Mail. The treatments are the same as the Rotterdam regime, and the two experts quoted have not been in post for many years, so its all a bit odd. I will investigate in the morning and report back.

I'm sorry to say this but I think it is an old article. If you got to the Mail Online homepage and search the site for Ovarian Cisplatin it brings up this article which appears to be from January 2002. The results from the Rotterdam Regime are impressive but it also highlights the difficulty in battling OC.
I have various searches set up to look for news on treatments that can help my Mum and there are new innovative therapies in the US that will hopefully make it to the UK soon.

I am sorry to let you know that this is an old article from about 7-8 years whiich appeared when research was first published about the Rotterdam regime. The clue is the fact that they mention the imperial Cancer Research fund and the Cancer Research Campaign, which have quite a while ago combined to become Cancer Research UK. I have been in touch with the Daily Mail about this before when someone mentioned that they had found details of what appeared to be a new treatment and maybe we need to contact them again.

Thank you ....I thought it was odd that it wasn't mentioned on members day, I remember Professer McNeish saying that they have more or less come to the end of Chemo ie (anything new) and are looking at new ways and approaches of treatment.
