Thanks for posting this up. I find Susan Gubar heavy reading. If you enjoy her work read 'Memoirs of a Debulked Woman'. It's for tougher women than I.

Thank you for posting this link: it was a very well written article and brought home how sad it is for some women with terminal disease and young children.

My husband lost his first wife to breast cancer and her boys were only 20 months, 4 and 5.

She wrote them all an individual letter which they still treasure today.
