does anybody else experience this?

I’ve been having digestive problems for over a year now and I am finally getting an endoscopy in 6-8 weeks time however I had another ‘attack’ last night and the wait seems like forever so I wondered if anybody had any ideas what this could be or what could help? To provide background, I’m mid 30s, healthy BMI, I’ve had an ultrasound and didn’t come back with anything and my bloods came back with mild hyperthyroidism. The pain is in the Epigastric region and spreads between my shoulder blades it is always there as a dull ache as soon as I wake up but I’ve had 3 ‘attacks’ in the last 4 months that have honestly been as painful as late contractions and the intensity of them coming and going does feel very similarly. It’s like somebody is twisting my stomach and the pain rapidly spreads to my back, I had it again last night for 2 hours and the pain makes me physically sick, I was sick 6 times last night from it. I don’t know what triggers is as I’ve cut foods out, been on anti acids etc and I am still getting this. If anybody has experienced anything similar or has any idea what this may be I would really appreciate any recommendations/advice had a good cry this morning as I’m just so lost with it all especially as I can’t find the cause to help prevent it.

Thank you

Unfortunately for me I just had my gallbladder out. I had been dealing for years with daily pain that I thought was my gastritis. So I increased my fermented food intake. I would also get infections that I worried were kidney infections as they felt similar to one I had in my early 20s, but I was never able to get a positive for kidney infection. They would give me antibiotics and the pain would clear up but never entirely. This went on for 7 or more years. In the last 2+ years I started experiencing dehydration and mineral and vitamin deficiencies despite supplementing and eating what I consider is very healthy. Long story short it was my gallbladder....inflamed, signs of infection, the wall was thickened with some edema and 35 stones. I am still on the mend from having it removed. Around the same time all my symptoms hit a peak I was also diagnosed with fatty liver and, premature ovarian failure. I truly believe this was all because I was not receiving a proper dosage of b12 and then on several occasion had to go without.

FYI: I did try intermittent fasting and herbs and such to detox, including focusing on nutrient dense foods, but always ended up malnourished and sicker than before. My body could not handle it. So I felt I had no other choice but to have the gallbladder removed.

Thank you for your reply and sorry you’ve had to experience this. I’ve had an ultrasound 6 months ago which didn’t show anything so now I’m stuck as they’re saying it’s not gallbladder although from what I’m reading the symptoms are very similar so who knows lol. I hope your road to recovery is as quick as possible x

I had a Hida Scan and ultra sounds in the past and nothing came of them. They said I had some sludge for one of the ultrasound but no stones. I went in circles and all my organs were checked and I was super healthy apparently.

I went to my GI doc because she really went to bat for me with my PA diagnoses and getting my RX filled daily. I told her I was not absorbing my nutrition and it makes no sense because of what I was eating and supplementing. My health was poor and I was continually sick with anything and everything, plus the pain. She only ordered an mri because nothing was found to be wrong with my gut after an endoscopy and colonoscopy.

I had the mri or ct, honestly I dont know the difference, for this one...they scanned my whole abdomen and said I had some inflammation and stones, but no blockages in my gallbladder and my liver was fatty. I have not yet had my follow up with the surgeon, but I looked at the report and it stated that I had chronic inflammation, infection, etc.... I still had no blockages, but no nutrition seemed to be getting past that gallbladder. Honestly I suspect it just pooped out, much like my ovaries, but they have not been able to give me any solid answers yet as to what happened.

If I had known anything about gallbladder or liver health I would have focused on that, but honestly because of my past PA situation I don't think it would have mattered.

maybe try charcoal tabs as they soak up excess acid, eat dry toast and sweet potatoes, white fish for a little while to see if that helps. I just found slippery elm capsules and I’ve been having great success.
